MasterVendorList.com
The Vendor-Sourcing Tool for the Global Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industries
Founded in 2009, MasterVendorList.com is Jeremy's proprietary procurement vendor sourcing platform – born from real frustration with the inefficiency of sourcing vendors on major EPC projects. MVL helps procurement professionals quickly access pre-qualified vendor databases, reducing sourcing time and improving competitive tension in the bid process.

Abstract
This dissertation investigates the impact of leaders' Personal Values on their approach to Ethical Leadership and Value-Based Decision-Making within Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in South Africa, focusing on their commitment to Environmental Sustainability. Using a mixed-methods approach combining a Schwartz Value Survey and structured interviews, the study examines which personal values leaders hold and how these shape their ethical decisions — particularly in a context defined by widespread corruption and mounting environmental pressures.
Dominant Values
Research participants demonstrated a strong inclination towards Benevolence and Conformity — and a notable disregard for Power. This indicates a Socially Focused leadership style that prioritises community welfare and ethical integrity over personal gain or control.
Ethical Leadership in Practice
Despite South Africa's deeply embedded institutional corruption and socio-economic pressures, the leaders studied consistently sought to uphold ethical standards and embed sustainable practices — reflecting a commitment to acting as 'Moral Persons' and 'Moral Managers'.
Environmental Sustainability
While South Africa faces more immediate crises (unemployment at 32.9%, load-shedding, institutional collapse), participants still recognised Environmental Sustainability as a significant responsibility. Value alignment between personal beliefs and organisational goals was the primary driver of ES adoption.
Personal Values → Decisions
The research affirms a direct and meaningful link between the personal values of SME leaders and their value-based decision-making processes — supporting Schwartz's Universal Values framework and Treviño's Person-Situation Interactionist model.
Why This Matters in Practice
"This research directly informs Jeremy's Ubuntu-inspired leadership philosophy: the belief that great leaders are defined not by authority, but by the values they model. The findings — that community-focused, ethically grounded leaders consistently outperform power-driven counterparts on sustainability outcomes — are embedded in every team Jeremy builds and every organisation he leads."
